Games at Home

There are some really good resources for playing games with other people from the comfort of your home that we’ve been learning all about recently:

  • There are plenty of existing online forums for board games (such as Board Game Arena or Tabletopia).
  • I set up a remote Codenames template on Google Docs. Can be run over voice chat or even text-based… perfect for low internet capacity.
  • If you’re into D&D, they’ve already got some good online infrastructure for this, notably Roll20.
  • We’ve been playing Jackbox games (silly party games) with screen sharing. They have some tutorials on how to use various screen sharing and video chat systems for playing games.
