Twisted Delight

Written by:

Maciek had a hankering for a bread product that he used to eat in Australia called “Twisted Delight”, so we tried to make some at home. You layer the dough with assorted fillings, then roll it up and cut it so it makes a staggered shape, then bake it. It’s pretty tasty and easy to make.

I brought back a pack of dumpling shells from Calgary, so we had fun making all sorts of oddly shaped dumplings.

End of April Weather Update

Written by:

We now have highs in the range of 5-10 C, and lows a few degrees below zero. The days have become quite long, with the sun rising around 5:45 am and setting a bit before 11 pm. It’s starting to throw off my daylight bedtime cues, and I’m finding myself awake for longer with more energy. Soon I will have to put in a concerted effort to go to bed at a reasonable hour, and to not drop in to visit people in the middle of the night.
