Tonight, I had a craving for fast food, but the nearest fast food is over 600km away. So I decided to see how good a homemade replica I could make with things already in the kitchen.
Success! Tasted somewhat convincingly like fast food. Or maybe I’ve just been up here too long.

We did a bunch of home cooking this weekend. Here are some photos.

We got a cabbage and are trying our hand at lacto-fermentation: sauerkraut and kimchi. Results will be available in 1-2 weeks.

***Update: Kimchi and sauerkraut were a success!
We got together with friends for a Thanksgiving feast. We brought the aforementioned cranberry sauce, bread, candied yams, and scalloped potatoes.

Also, adorable mini-quiches.
