For Emma’s 23rd birthday, we had a “Nailed It!”-themed party based on the Netflix show. For those of you who haven’t seen it…
Nailed It! was inspired by the craze of people trying and failing to make elaborate cakes they found on the Internet. Amateur bakers with demonstrated poor baking skills attempt to re-create edible masterpieces.
To start, we assembled the necessary ingredients:

In the past two weeks, the garden has exploded. Contrast photos from June 1, June 30, and July 14:



It’s mostly an insane amount of bok choy and kale growing in almost faster than we can harvest them, but there is also swiss chard under there fighting for some sunlit space. The beans and peas are making a revival, climbing up the remains of their departed brethren. There are also some herbs such as cilantro and dill that are doing pretty well, and a kohlrabi in there somewhere.
We have clearly figured out what grows well up here.
