Family Taskmaster

We did a family Zoom version of Taskmaster for the holidays. Our teams were: M’Lord & M’Lady, Super Six, and Balloon Animals. These were the challenges:

  • Throw a teabag into a cup from the furthest distance. You have 5 minutes.

Balloon Animals threw their teabag 195 cm, M’Lord & M’Lady threw theirs 255 cm (despite their abnormally large “cup”), and Super Six made a whopping 393.7 cm throw!

  • Get 8 sheets of toilet paper and have someone hold each end. Balance something (or things) on the TP for at least 10 seconds. Heaviest thing(s) win. You have 10 minutes.

M’Lord & M’Lady successfully balanced a measuring tape (“Fat Max”), Balloon Animals balanced a full water bottle, and then Super Six balanced a full water bottle AND a measuring tape (“Husky Pro”, which is apparently heavier than “Fat Max”). But then Balloon Animals managed to balance a 5 lb weight, winning the task.

  • Take a family photo that makes it look like you’re not at your house. Most realistic and exotic fake family vacation wins. You have 20 minutes.

Balloon Animals and Super Six visited the tropics, while M’Lord & M’Lady went back in time to visit a Home Hardware to buy toilet paper before the pandemic.

  • Make someone in your house look either bigger or smaller than they really are. Biggest change in size wins. You have 20 minutes.

  • Take a piece of bread. Using only your mouth to shape the bread, make the bread into a piece of art. Best bread art wins. You have 5 minutes.

Super Six got a tortilla (technically bread) and made a creepy mask. M’Lord & M’Lady made Pac-Man. Balloon Animals made a tree and… a seahorse?

  • Kick one team out of the chat. The other teams have to pick the first word (5 letters of longer) that the removed team will say when they’re back on the call. Write your word down on a piece of paper and reveal it when they say that word. Everyone will be on mute when they come back to the call. First team’s word that is spoken wins!

M’Lord & M’Lady were removed from the chat. Super Six guessed they would say “alright”, Balloon Animals guessed “thought”, and the Taskmasters guessed “muted”. 

The 2020 Family Taskmaster champions are team Super Six!
