Faye and Maciek's Adventures in the frosty Canadian North

Halloween
Thanksgiving
Someone in town organised a “Chopped”-style cook-off, where people were broken into teams and given a bag of ingredients which they used to make a dish for dinner. I don’t have any pictures of the final products, but here are some works in progress.
In a role reversal, Maciek has joined the Inuvik volunteer fire department, while I have my Wednesday nights free and don’t have to carry a pager around with me everywhere. Here are some photos from his recruit training*, back when there wasn’t snow on the ground.

In the next episode of “strange things Faye & Maciek get up to in the North”, the big wrestling championship match is happening on Saturday. Maciek has a fight lined up, and I’m the referee. We’ll keep you updated with how it goes, but in the meantime, here’s the lead-up videos that the guys made.
