Didn’t think I’d see this in the North…

We went to the Annual Inuvik Kegger (it was the 4th one). The organizers order a keg into town via the liquor store and invite the whole town out.

After the last Coffee Taste Test, several people commented that brewing method might have a substantial effect on people’s coffee preferences, so we did a double-blind taste test of 7 different coffee brewing methods.

Maciek summarised the results in another professional report: CoffeeTasteTest2
I finally got a chance to check out Snowking while I was out in Yellowknife. Maciek got to go two years ago, and I’ve wanted to see it ever since I heard about it. It was closed while I was there, but I got to walk around the outside and see the castle itself, which was nautically-themed this year.

*Snowking actually had to shut down two weeks early this year due to the unseasonably warm weather. This is the first time in 24 years that it has had to close.
