Written by:

Despite not being able to leave the territory, I’ve been getting out on short trips near Inuvik on the weekends. There aren’t a lot of official trails near here, so it’s more a matter of looking at satellite imagery for areas that seem hike-able… usually cut lines leading to radio towers and similar.

Maciek’s work gave him some country food! He brought home snow geese from Sachs Harbour, Arctic char from Ulukhaktok, and akpiks (cloudberries). Now we’ve got a whole bunch of cooking to do!

We got to try out a Sea-Doo! It belongs to a friend of a friend, and she let us try it out. Super fun!
