I had the chance to get out into the Richardson Mountains on some field work. This is the range we can see from town (and go hiking in occasionally), but this time I was in a helicopter so it was much faster and easier to get there.

I had the chance to get out into the Richardson Mountains on some field work. This is the range we can see from town (and go hiking in occasionally), but this time I was in a helicopter so it was much faster and easier to get there.










After a month of darkness, the sun rose again on January 6. We were in town for this year’s Sunrise Festival, and I got to do a two-day workshop to make sealskin mitts, which are very warm!


In the fall, my mom came to visit. This year’s birthday adventure was an “Amazing Race”-style challenge.
