There’s a guy in town who used to be a professional cabinet maker. I gave him a call. I was thinking of making myself parallel bars but didn’t know what wood to use.
He told me about a stand of spruce, out past the airport and half way to the dump. It had been burned by fire. The leaves and branches had all burned off but the trunks, the trunks had been strengthened by the heat. I went out on my bike and harvested some of the fallen boughs.
A little work with a chisel and a sander and I had my bars.

Actually doing an L-sit will take a little longer.
